Sound Habits = Sound Body

Sometimes it makes us feel better to now that famous people do have bad habits that we can relate to. Yet sometimes, just because they're well known and at times iconic, regular people tend not to change for the better (often saying so-and-so done it, I can too!!!).

Keep out of the hospital and healthy by doing age-old prevention…

Wash hands- a brisk 25 seconds water WITH soap is enough to clear hands from germs. No soap isn't washing but rinsing only! Close tap with the use of paper towel. If water isn't available, have a hand sanitizer or 70% Isopropyl alcohol handy.

Personal items are just that PERSONAL. No offense meant but combs, toothbrushes, razors, deodorant, face and bath towels, clothes, bed sheets and sports gear are meant for 1 person use only. Better to educate (once again) rather than get sick.

Wounds are better kept under bandages. A thin layer of gauze keeps medication on the wound as well as a layer of protection from infection. Besides, your wounds may infect others.

Avoid game practices or sit out a game and DON'T swim in the pool if you have a wound that has pus and may need draining. Resume activity when wound is healed and dried up. Can't have anyone sick because of carelessness.

Never be lazy not to change beddings and wash soiled beddings, specially when you have a wound.

First sign of sickness, consult a professional health worker. Self-medication and taking antibiotics without prescription often lead to immunity to the medication when you really need it and mutation of the bacteria. A bacteria fed improperly doses of wrong antibiotics evolve to a more stubborn strain.

Anyone can get sick, however with simple precautions, we get better odds against most illness.
